Alt J – An Awesome Wave

Alt-J are one of those bands that it’s really hard to place into a genre. I was immediately drawn to Joe Newman’s vocal style, it reminded me heaps of Joanna Newsome which I found ironic given their similar names. An Awesome Wave is a unique and captivating album that has no dull moments. If you haven’t heard it yet, you won’t be disappointed.

This video is part of my Top 50 Albums on a ukulele project, if you enjoyed it why not check out some other classic albums that I arranged for ukulele. Like Arctic Monkeys – Whatever, Bombay Bicycle Club or The Smiths – The Queen is Dead

I used a low top G on my ukulele when playing all these songs. You might find they don’t sound as great when u play them with a normal G, however, I thought I would upload them all anyways!
