Weezer Ukulele TABs – Blue Album

This album stamped its mark on popular music right from the word go, when the deceptively pretty acoustic guitar intro of My Name Is Jonas erupts with the first thrash of the power chord, and from then on never gives up. A set of fantastic, tuneful, melodic songs, intelligently crafted but with the power and rock n roll behind them to satisfy hard rock fans, Weezer created a formidable synthesis of power pop and hard rock with their debut, and which has characterized their music ever since. I had to share the Weezer Ukulele TABs with you all!

This is an album with no fat on it. It’s short, it’s sharp, and it’s over after ten songs with little consideration. Rivers Cuomo has been quoted as saying he’d rather have a really short album of all good material rather than have a long one where people skipped songs.

This video is part of a project I’m working on. I’m learning to play my favourite albums on a ukulele. If you enjoyed it why not check out some other classic albums that I arranged like The XX, Pearl Jam or Smashing Pumpkins.

No One Else

A beautifully simple little riff that sounds sick on the ukulele. Use your first finger to bar each chord and just slide it down the fretboard.

Buddy Holly

This entire arrangement is mimicking the vocal lines in the verse, pre-chorus and chorus. You need to repeat the first bar twice.

Say It Aint So

Another lovely Weezer riff that sounds great on the ukulele. I’m using a low g for this but you can easily use a high g too.
