I remember back in 2004, it was the year of My Chemical Romance. All the fans died their hair black and would bravely wear eyeliner to school. I say bravely as I grew up in the north of England and went to a school where all the students came from the surrounding council estates. Stand out and you get a slap, simple as. This was a time before social media, so kids just weren’t as diverse and as accepting as they are nowadays ( most of the time ). I was a massive music guy in school and I loved it all. So when MCR came under my radar I was initially impressed with the guitar work. Its some of the best of that generation and I feel it often gets under appreciated. It was very nostalgic to go back and listen to this album again, brought back many memories. Hope ya dig it!
