Eat My Uke

Destinys Child – Bills

This was one of those songs that I hated when it came out. Mainly because my big sister used to play it repeatedly and of course she’s my big sister, so anything she did was annoying to me at that age. But as I grew older I began to appreciate it a whole lot more. A killer beat with lush vocals and that riff, boy that’s a sweet riff. In this post, we are going to learn a Destiny’s child ukulele song.

This is one of those party trick riffs. It can be hard to master but once you do its very fun to play! the x part during the second part requires you to palm mute the strings and fingerpick each string.

The riff also requires you to play some chords. Its a great riff as it send your fingers up and down the fretboard. If you are struggling to play the song at speed. Follow my guide on how to increase your speed and agility while playing the ukulele. Its a step by step process that if done correctly will have you playing at a lightning pace in no time.

Watch the video above to hear how I do it. Remember to take your time. It’s important to build strength in your fingers to play this.
