Matt Healy and co could quite easily have created another record of generic pop hits but they haven’t. Instead, they’ve made an album of contrasting sounds and themes which make the real pop songs on the record stand out even further than they normally would and have you hanging onto every second. They aren’t afraid to push limits and for that, they get my full respect.
