Not only are you learning to play the Ukulele; there’s a developing and engaging story as we make our way through the festival.
The festival map gives a sense of direction. The characters we meet give us a sense of purpose. When combined; it gives a natural path to progression on the instrument.
80+ lessons where you’re not only learning how to play songs; you’re becoming a better Ukulele player.
Hi, I’m Stan (AKA EatMyUke). I’m a professional Ukulele player and content creator.
I’ve been playing musical instruments for over 20 years and I’ve seen time and time again what a profound effect music can have on people’s lives. It led me to commit myself to share my experience and encourage more people to pick up an instrument.
The Ukulele took centre stage in 2012 as I launched my YouTube channel and website. I create content that teaches completely fresh beginners and also people wanting to take their playing to the next level.
Lastly, let me clear this up…..although I have a big appetite, I do not eat Ukuleles.

While this isn’t specifically a course for kids, I designed each of the lessons to be straightforward and user-friendly for all students. Since every child develops and learns differently, I can’t say definitively whether the lessons will be a good fit for your child. However, we currently have students as young as 7 that follow the program with parental supervision and successfully take to the teaching style.
NO! During the riffs section of Ukulele Utopia, I dedicate a few lessons to reading and understanding Ukulele tabs. Seriously, it only takes a few minutes to get familiar with them.
This is an online course that is based at a fictional music festival. Although I’m here to teach you how to play the ukulele, there’s a story going on in the background too. We are at the festival for a weekend but that dosent mean you will finish the course in a weekend.
Ukulele Utopia is a self-paced online course, so you can go through the lessons at any time that is convenient for you. You get lifetime access when you join, so you don’t need to worry about your schedule getting busy. If something does come up in your schedule that prevents you from starting right away or slows down your progress, the course will always be available for you to pick up again whenever you can come back to it.
YouTube is an amazing resource to start learning to play. However, this course is designed to take you to another level with a guided learning plan. Random YouTube videos now and again don’t give you any meaningful progression. Ukulele Utopia will.
In this section, we will cover everything you need to know about starting to play the ukulele.
We know the basics, it’s time to delve into what’s going on with our strumming hand.
Chords are the backbone of most songs, let’s learn to play a few more.
Chords and strumming are great but… there’s nothing better than smashing out a riff on the ukulele.
In this section, we will discuss some dynamics you can add to improve your ukulele playing.
Fingerpicking is a great way to add more emotion to our chords.
Let’s put the ukulele down for a moment and jump into the studio.
This is it, it’s time to combine everything we have learned so far.
