Gorillaz - Gorillaz

Gorillaz – Debut Album

The Gorillaz genre splitting music all started with this album. Damon Albarn’s craft of writing music seems effortless. Let’s learn to play some songs of this album.

Today we are learning to play 5/4, Clint Eastwood and Rock The House. The video below will give you an idea of what the ukulele tabs will sound like.

This video is part of a project I’m working on. I’m learning to play my favourite albums on a ukulele. If you enjoyed it why not check out some other classic albums that I arranged. Like Demon Days, The Now Now or Plastic Beach.

The timing for this is unconventional. Surprisingly, its in 5/4. All that means is that usually, we would count in sets of 4. This time we are counting up to 5 instead.

Rock The House

This is a simple but lovely lick to play on the uke. Its a little bit nippy but it shouldn’t trouble you if you are a beginner.

Clint Eastwood

I’m playing this on a ukulele with a low g string. But, it still sounds decent on a uke with a normal high G. I found it easiest to bar the third fret for the first note and then slide it up to the 6th for the chords.
