Under neon loneliness, motorcycle emptiness. One of my favourite cryptic lines from the Manic Street Preachers. A song about the glittering life that everybody wants to project, and the gaping awareness of our own insignificance. In a world teetering on the brink of self-extinction ridden with a sense of fruitlessness. Not in a depressing way or anything, just a really good observation.
What Are We Learning To Play?
Below is a video of what you will be able to play by the end of this post.
We are using lots of bends here so its really important to get your technique correct. I find it much easier by using more than one finger to do the bending. For example, let’s say we need to bend the 7th fret on the E string. Use your ring finger on the 7th fret, then put your middle finger on the 6th. It’s going to give us much more strength and make it easier to bend up a whole tone ( the 9th fret ).
