My Chemical Romance – Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge

I remember back in 2004, it was the year of My Chemical Romance. All the fans died their hair black and would bravely wear eyeliner to school. I say bravely, I grew up in the north of England and went to a school where all the students came from the surrounding council estates. Stand out and you get a slap, simple as. This was a time before social media, so kids weren’t as diverse and as accepting as they are nowadays ( most of the time ).
I was a massive music guy in school and I loved it all. So when MCR came under my radar I was initially impressed with the guitar work. Its some of the best of that generation and I feel it often gets under-appreciated. It was very nostalgic to go back and listen to this album again, brought back many memories.
Let’s crack on and learn to play some My Chemical Romance ukulele tabs. Below is a video of my arrangement of the album. You can use this as your reference for the timings of the songs.

This video is part of a project I’m working on. I’m learning to play my favourite albums on a ukulele. If you enjoyed it why not check out some other classic albums that I arranged. Like The Black Parade or Twenty One Pilots.
