This song has had many incarnations. I first heard the Metallica version when I was a kid and loved it. But there’s something about the softer Thin Lizzy version that touches me more. It’s an iconic riff and sounds fantastic on the ukulele.

This is one of those songs that you just have to listen to and play along to get the timing right. Even with the years of experience that I have. I still feel like I don’t have control over my fingers when I play this. I just seem to play it naturally. So yeah, slow it down and give it a bash yourself.
