It has gone on to become a classic summer anthem, let’s learn to play the Avicii ukulele tabs for Wake Me Up.
Something I find really cool about this song; It was co-written by one of my favourite guitarists of all time. Mike Einziger from Incubus was a frequent collaborator with the Swedish house music producer. He certainly added an extra layer of richness to this track.
What Are We Learning To Play?
Below is a video of what you will be able to play by the end of this post.
The most iconic part of this song i that opening chord progression. Its actually one of the most searched for progressions of the last 10 years too.
We are using the Bm, G, D and A chords. Theres a little variation on the G and D which is going to make them easier to play.
Keep your first finger across all of the strings on the 2nd fret. You just need one more finger for the first 3 chords. Use your ring finger on the 4th fret for the Bm. Then your middle finger for G and lastly your pinky finger for the D.

Another significant part of this song is the Synth line that runs after the chorus.
