You can so tell this song was written by David Bowie, its drenched in Bowie-Esque-ness. It’s a fantastic song regardless. The first time I heard it was from the remake of The Magic Roundabout film in 2004. I immediately got on Limewire and downloaded it lol. Let’s learn to play it on the ukulele.

This is a fantastic riff for beginners if you want to push yourself a little bit. We using a few techniques combined that forces you to concentrate more. Firstly we have a chord high up the neck. Place your first finger on the 9th fret of the C string, your middle finger on the 9th fret of the A and lastly your ring finger on the 10th of the E string.
Then you need to drop your first finger to the 7th fret of the A string. We are going to perform a hammer-on and pull-off combination for five notes. This means we only pluck the string once, then use our ring finger to make the sound all the rest of the notes. Repeat this for the next section/chord.
