My first introduction to this band was when Sabrina the teenage witch was obsessed with them and they made an appearance on her show ?. I never listened to their music after that but their name stuck with me. Years later I found Blister In The Sun on a Spotify playlist and that acoustic intro riff caught my ears big time. I open to the app to see who it was, low and behold its Sabrina’s favourite band! Let’s learn to play it on the ukulele.

I’m using a low G in the video but due to the riff being on just one string, it’s going to work fine on a high G too.
We are using lots of pull-offs for this song. Performing a pull-off involves placing two fingers (often the first and ring finger) on the fretboard. Then plucking the string and dragging your finger (ring) off the higher note. This will reveal the note behind and change the pitch of the sound. This time, the second note is an open string so you only need to use one finger.
