3 Doors Down – Kryptonite

Kryptonite

One of those songs that has always been in my head but didn’t have a clue who actually recorded it until recently.  It has become a pretty iconic electric guitar lick that amateur guitar players have been learning for 20 years now. Lets learn to play it on a ukulele …

What Are We Learning To Play?

Below is a video of what you will be able to play by the end of this post.

Ukulele Tabs

Due to it being stretched over a couple octaves, we are going to need a low G ukulele to play it successfully.  The first chord is a barre chord. Use your first finger and lay it across the 4th fret. Then your middle finger on the 5th of the A, ring on the 6th of the C and your pinky on the 7th of the E. Pick each string and then the A string one more time. Then lift of your pinky and use it to hit the 7th fret on the C.

This shape is used for the final chord at the end of the section too.
