This was already a HUGE hit when it was released in 1976. However it had another burst in popularity in 2000 when Christopher Walken hilariously demanded that Will Ferrel add more cowbell when the band was in the studio. It sounds great so let’s learn to play it on the ukulele.
What Are We Learning To Play?
Below is a video of what you will be able to play by the end of this post.Â
Ukulele Tabs
This has been transposed from the original recording to make it more suitable for the uke. I’m using a low G in the video but i tried it and it sounds really decent on a high G too. To make it easier to play, get your fingers prepared.
Use your first finger on the 4th fret of the G, ring finger on the 6th of the C and lastly your pinky on the 7th of the E. After you have played the first section slide it all down 2 frets and lift off your pinky. Your middle will be ready and waiting to hit the 2nd fret of the E.
