I loved this song growing up and I foolishly believed it was about my home town for years. Even though they are a Kiwi/Australian band, we have a road in Hull called Mount Pleasant (it’s not pleasant in the slightest). I just assumed they were singing about it haha. Great band and a lovely guitar lick on the intro, lets learn to play it on the ukulele.

This is quite a nippy song to play, feel free to use a plectrum if it’s going to make it easier for you to play ay speed. I grow out the fingernail on my first finger and file it down so it pretty acts as a plectrum anyways. There’s nothing super difficult going on here. Just listen out for the timing to make sure pluck the right amount of notes on that 7th fret. There’s a lot of them.
