Stevie Wonder – Superstition

Superstition

You really begin to appreciate Stevie Wonders musical output when you learn that this song came from his fifteenth album. At that point in time, he hadn’t even released Songs In The Key Of Life yet either. Arguably one of the finest albums from the 70s. The killer riff is instantly recognisable so let’s learn to play Superstition on the ukulele.

What Are We Learning To Play?

Below is a video of what you will be able to play by the end of this post.

Ukulele Tabs

For this riff, you want to be utilising the palm muting technique. It’s going to give you more control of the timing of each note. We want each one to have a short and stubby feel to it. The riff is split into two sections and they are near enough identical except for the first two notes. Bear that in mind while learning to play and it will make it easier.
