This was a massive song when I was a teenager. It was during my mosher phase when I was only interested in Slipknot and Linkin Park, lol. So I didn’t give it the time of day that it deserved. Great song and it’s from a fantastic album. Let’s learn to play it on the ukulele.

We’re pretty much just playing chords for the intro to this, with a cool hammer-on technique before each chord change.
All of the chords are barre chords, and we’re starting with A# Major. Use your pointer finger to barre the 5th fret, then use your ring finger on the 7th fret and your middle finger on the 6th fret.
Then we move to G# Major—it’s the same shape as the previous chord, just moved down 2 frets. Lastly, we have C minor: keep your finger barred on the 3rd fret and use your ring finger for the 5th fret. We end on G# Major again.
The strumming pattern looks complicated, but it’s actually just up, down repeatedly. What makes it different is that we’re muting the strings occasionally too. The X’s on the tabs mean you need to mute/chuck.
